Dr. Suling Liu is currently a professor at The First Affiliated Hospital in Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Recipient of the National High level Talent Special Support Program (Ten Thousand Talents Program); Recipient of the Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation from the Ministry of Science and Technology; Recipient of the Youth Project of the Overseas High level Talent Introduction Plan of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee; Recipient of the National Excellent Youth Science Fund. Dr. Liu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China and a doctoral degree from Ohio State University in the United States; Dr. Liu worked as a postdoctoral researcher on cancer stem cells at the Cancer Center of the University of Michigan from 2003 to 2010, served as an assistant professor at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in the United States from 2010 to 2012, and a professor at the University of Science and Technology of China. Dr. Liu was awarded the Susan B. Komen Cancer Foundation Postdoctoral Award in 2005-2008, the American Cancer Society Merck Scholar Award in 2006, the American Cancer Society Susan B. Komen Scholar Award in 2010, the USCACA-NFCR Academic Award in 2014, the China Oncology Young Scientist Award in 2018, the Shanghai Medical Leading Talent Award in 2019, the Fudan University "Excellence 2025" - Insight Talent Plan in 2020, the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan Outstanding Academic Leader Award in 2020, the WuXi AppTec Life Chemistry Research Award in 2020, and the Shanghai Leading Talent Award in 2020. In the past five years, as the corresponding author, Dr. Liu has published a total of 103 SCI papers in Nature Cell Biology、Nature Communications、Science Advances、Cancer Res.、Clinical Cancer Res.、Advanced Science、Molecular Cancer、Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy、Protein & cell A total of 29 SCI papers have been published in international journals, with over 21000 citations. Currently serving as an editorial board member for international journals such as Cancer Heterogeneity and Plasticity, World Journal of Stem Cells, and ISRN cell biology. Dr. Liu has obtained five international patents and applied for seven Chinese patents (four of which have been approved). Dr. Liu’s research has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China's "Excellent Youth" project, three key projects, and general projects; the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the 973 sub project; Chinese Academy of Sciences Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Pilot Project. Dr. has served as a member of the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Yangtze River Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Education.
